This was the argument of a press ad for the Altoids mints.

Obviously, it means that people will enjoy Altoids pills because they are strong, in parallel with BDSM, as suggested by the image of this vintage amusing Mistress

The spanish version of the same ad was Duele, pero al final gusta (It hurts, but at last it’s pleasant)

A blind test. A man tastes an unmarked  pill and says it’s OK, but remains unconvinced.  Then it tests the Altoids sour and he swallows the pill at the same time that the strict hostess slaps he with her gloved hand. Then the guy says meekly: I like it a lot.
